Dr. William Fitzjohn was an ambassador from Sierra Leone. In the early 1960's while traveling in this country he was refused service at a Howard Johnsons resturant because of racial segregation. It caused an international incident.This is a slide of a picture of Dr. Fitzjohn and President Kennedy meeting in the oval office.
